Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH HAROLD DREGER On September 28, 2006, with his family by his side, it is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Harold Dreger at the age of 75 years following a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Jean (McDonald); his brothers, Wilfred (Olga) and Don (Barb); sisters, Margie (Willy) Ludman, Evelyn (Clarence) Ratchinsky, BettyAnn Kozak and Diann (Ron) Hince; as well as sister-in-law Josie Dreger; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, family in Australia and many friends and neighbours. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Godfred and Elsie Dreger; and his brothers, Brian and Howard (Vivian). Ralph was born in Morris, MB on June 19, 1931. His dream was to be a farmer and he worked on the family farm for many years before moving to Winnipeg to work as a heavy equipment operator. Working on the floodway and the Forks were two of his proudest accomplishments. He retired from Mulder Construction after 27 years of service where he made long lasting friendships with many of his co-workers. Ralph was a kind, generous, well-loved man with a gentle soul who always put family and friends first. He was a devoted husband to his wife Jean and spent many hours taking her for walks and going on outings with the other residents of Concordia Place. He dearly loved his two dogs, Sporty and Tempo. Meeting his coffee buddies , going to the Casino, woodworking or working in his yard were some of his favourite ways to spend his time. Ralph was a great handyman and inventor who could fix anything. He truly touched the lives of everyone he met. The family wishes to thank the staff of Concordia Hospital and especially the staff on 3 West. We wish to extend a special thank you to nurse Nicole and Chaplain Erica Block for their extraordinary support and compassion. A celebration of Ralph's life will take place on Monday, October 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care or The Alzheimer's Society.
