ALVIN HOWARD DENYES On Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital, Alvin Howard Denyes, dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 years. Besides his loving wife Elizabeth; remaining to cherish Alvin's memory are his sons, Stephen (Jeanette), Wayne (Valerie); grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Jenna, Christopher and Stephen Denyes; step-grandchildren, Crystal and Carolyn; as well as his brother Mark; sister Lil; and brother-in-law John (Christa). He was predeceased by his parents, Olive and George Denyes. Alvin served overseas in the Air Force as a pilot for a few years flying fighter jets over the invasion of Normandy and The Missions. Upon returning from overseas, he started working for Manitoba Hydro, then moving to Ontario Hydro and finally for the last 17 years, with BC Hydro. He was a member of the St. Vital Legion, Branch #16 and will be sadly missed by all his close family and friends. In compliance with Alvin's wishes, a private family service was held.
