WALLI MARTHA TOBER (nee ECKERT) July 24, 1925 September 28, 2006 It is with great sadness that the Tober family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the Riverview Health Centre 3 East. Walli leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Erwin, sons, Hans (Pauline) and Wolfgang (girlfriend Iris), grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Beryl (Darren), great-grandchildren, Justin and Tristen, sisters, Else and Friedel, and brother Helmut as well as many nieces and nephews all of Casum, Germany. Walli was born in Schlesien, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1960. She was a long time employee of the City of Winnipeg. She worked on the cleaning staff of the Princess Elizabeth Hospital until her retirement in 1988. Family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview 3 East for all their help and compassionate care. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
