HARRY AUGUST NUYTTEN It is with sadness, but many warm memories, that our family announces the passing of our beloved father, Harry August Nuytten, on September 26, 2006. Harry leaves to mourn, his loving children, Kenneth (Roseanne), Gordon (Cheryl), Leslie-Anne (Ron) and Doug (Kathy); 13 grandchildren, David (Marci), Jean (Andre) LaBelle, Brian (Amber), Colleen (Kevin) Mann, Becky (Christian) Lagiewka, Norma Nuytten, Ian, Jordan and Cory Sydorko, Leona, Dylan, Johnathan and Issac Nuytten; 14 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Georgette Bruneteau, Emily Desmet and Zoe Gagnon. Harry was born in St. Boniface on November 20, 1916. He was predeceased by Mary, his beloved wife of 59 years, in 2004; his parents, Jules Nuytten and Helene Verhaeghe; his brother Victor and sister Rachel Sim. In his early years Dad worked for local dairies, where he would deliver milk with his horse and buggy through the streets of St. Boniface and downtown Winnipeg in the early hours of the morning. He spent most of his working life, first with the City of St. Boniface and then the City of Winnipeg after unicity, in the Works and Operations Department. Dad retired in 1978. The family wishes to give special thanks to the doctors and staff of St. Boniface Hospital, Ward 4E for their care and compassion they provided our father these last 5 months. Funeral service and Legion service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2006 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6.
