SANDRA HOPE NARVEY Sandra Hope Narvey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the age of 50 at the Grace Hospice after a day surrounded by family. Sandi will be lovingly remembered by her parents Sooky and Mel Narvey; her sisters and brothers, Carol (Larry) Hoffman, Roberta (Fred) Kravitz, Bernie (Barb) Narvey, Arthur Tadman and Marty (Shelley) Tadman. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Emma Narvey, Shayna Hoffman, Eli Hoffman, Esther (Jay) Goldberger, Joel (Jill) Kravitz, Bryan (Stella) Kravitz and Jack Tadman, and by her great-nieces and great-nephew, Emma Kravitz, Alexandra, Lauren, Marisa and Michael Goldberger. Sandi was predeceased by her mother Esther. She will be remembered by all of her family and friends for her courage, strength, determination and wonderful sense of humour. She was an inspiration to all of us, and to the many other people she touched through her caring and teaching about the needs of cancer patients. Sandra worked for many years at the Winnipeg Clinic and was honoured on June 2nd by a team of her co-workers who walked with her on the Relay for Life to raise funds and awareness for the important work of the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank Sandi's care- givers and the compassionate staff at Grace Hospice who enabled her to live with hope and dignity. As she always loved to say, Remember, my middle name is Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandi's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4A6, the Canadian Breast Cancer Association, Helping Hands for Manitobans with Breast Cancer Inc. in care of The Treasure, 82 Harbison Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB R2L 0A1 or the Grace Hospice. The funeral will be held Sunday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, at Wellington Crescent and Academy Road. Pallbearers will be Larry Hoffman, Fred Kravitz, Bryan Kravitz, Joel Kravitz, Bruce Narvey and Sydney Palansky. Honorary pallbearers will be Shayna Hoffman, Esther Goldberger, Barbara Shearer, Shelley Tadman, and Sidney Weinstein.
