ELSIE GILFIX It is with deep sadness that the family of Elsie Gilfix announces her peaceful passing at the age of 88, on September 24, 2006. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Louis and sons Leslie and Martin. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Shirley (George) Landes; grandchildren, Marnie (Scott) Margolis, Keri (Bob) Ganz, April (Sasha) Jacob, Remi and Micah Landes, and great- grandchildren, Lee and Andie Margolis and Gabriel and Zander Ganz. Elsie was a trusting and accepting woman whose values, opinions and unique personality were a source of joy and contemplation, and leave enduring wonderful memories. The family would like to thank Luba Shevtsova and all the caregivers at The Sharon Home, who enhanced her life greatly during her last challenging years. Service was held at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on Tuesday, September 26. If so desired, donations may be directed to the Elsie and Louis Gilfix fund at the Jewish Foundation.
