PHILLIP JOHN ALLEN After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Phil Allen on Saturday, September 30, 2006. Phil was born February 2, 1947 in Kenora, ON. He moved to Winnipeg as a child and during his illness moved to Chatfield, MB. He worked many years in construction and 17 years at AFG Glass. Phil was a wonderfully caring man who throughout his life shared his values with everyone. Phil loved spending time with his family and cats and especially enjoyed watching movies with his grandchildren. Phil also loved the outdoors, spending every moment he could in the bush either hunting or scouting, or just riding his trike. During his illness he always showed great strength and courage. He was a warm and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be lovingly be remembered by his wife Susan; his children, Kathy and Graham, Shelley and Terry, Trevor and Liz, Steven and Richelle; his grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Seth and Katie. Also by Chris and Megan, his in-laws Mum and Dad, Pat and Lee, David and Ursula; his siblings, Jackie (Norman), Elaine (Fred), Roberta (Vern), Gordon (Mattie), Margaret (Mike). Private funeral services will be held in the former Peace Lutheran Church in Chatfield, MB on Tuesday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the Sandridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trevor Allen, Steven Allen, Chris DeBoeck, David Johnson, Maurice Crump, and Eddie George. You were one Amazing Man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sandridge Cemetery. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.
