JOANNE MARIA PEDERSON (GIARDINO)
Born: Jan 21, 1969
Date of Passing: Sep 29, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOANNE MARIA PEDERSON (GIARDINO) It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our daughter, sister and friend with family by her side on Friday September 29, 2006. She left us far too quickly at the young age of 37. Joanne was predeceased by her father Sergio Giardino. Left to cherish her memory is her mother Mary, brothers; Frank (Lesley) and Richard (Jennifer), many loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends too numerous to name. Joanne was born on January 21, 1969 in Winnipeg, MB. She graduated from Grant Park High School in 1987 and went on to try her hand at many different career paths before finding her calling in banking at Scotia Bank. Joanne loved her work at the bank because it allowed her the opportunity to do what she did best; meet new people and make new friends. Joanne's family and friends were very special to her. She shared her big heart with all those she came into contact with, her family, friends, as well as her customers and co-workers. Joanne's favorite pastime's were shopping and planning parties. Her specialties were her fabulous dips which were always a hit especially that fantastic spinach dip! The family would like to thank all the staff on the fifth floor of St. Boniface hospital especially nurses Mark, David and Jennifer for their support and care at an extremely difficult time. Mark, David and Jennifer really went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure Joanne and the family were always as comfortable as possible. In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away, you suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, your spirit did not bend, but still you kept on fighting until the very end. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you, and whispered, Come to me . So when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful, free from pain, we could not wish you back, to suffer that again. You didn't deserve what you went through, so he took you home to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, for he only takes the best. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Entombment will follow directly after in the Waverley Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers are Craig Cosentino, Jeff Cosentino, Tony Giardino, John Giardino, Joe Conci, and Christopher Yachison. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Joanne's memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO.
