EMILY HANNAH PEARCE June 24, 1912 - September 30, 2006 Peacefully, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Emily Pearce, aged 94 years of Selkirk. Emily was born in Winnipeg and raised in Garson, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Charlotte, sister Evelyn Mitchell and brothers, Edward and Gilbert and their spouses. She leaves surviving her nieces, Beth (Harold) of Selkirk, Sharon (Matt) and Barb (Ed) of Hamilton, Linda (Bob) of Vancouver and her nephew Wesley (Meryl) of Molson, MB. In her younger years, she played hockey for the Winnipeg Olympics. She worked at Bristol Aircraft during the Second World War, also the Hamilton board of Education and Moore's taxi in Winnipeg as a driver. Emily was a member of the ANAF, and the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 151 in Selkirk, both of whom will form honour guards. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment will follow in the Little Britain United Cemetery.
