VICTOR LEONARD CARSON Peacefully on October 3, 2006 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Victor Carson, of Selkirk, passed away in his 85th year. Victor was predeceased by his love Mary in 2000; his parents, Margaret and Leonard; and brother Gordon. He leaves to mourn his passing, daughter Muriel-Anne of British Columbia; sisters, Joyce of Winnipeg and Leona (Gordon) of British Columbia; ten nieces and nephews and their spouses; eleven great-nieces and nephews; many cousins and many more close friends. Victor was born in Selkirk on September 26, 1922 and was proud of his hometown. For 70 years, he gave his spirit and service to Selkirk United Church. He was Scoutmaster and District Commissioner for the Scouting Movement for 15 years. The Lord Selkirk School Division, Arc Industries and the Selkirk and St. Andrews Regional Library Boards were other organizations that he was happy to serve. Interment will take place at the Little Britain Churchyard cemetery on Thursday, October 5 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a service of Celebration at 2:00 p.m. at the Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Ave., Selkirk with Rev. Deborah Vitt and Rev. Ken DeLisle officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Selkirk United Church or the Boy Scouts / Girl Guides of Canada.
