Something needs to be said about Bruce. He was always a guy you could depend on to find humor in bad situations. He easily made friends wherever he went and was always there with a smile. Like many of us, he made mistakes in his life but he would have been the first to welcome anyone back into his circle if they were trying to make amends. The testament to his true friendship was the amount of people who came to his funeral. Standing room only. His many friends at MTS miss him and still speak of him with respect and sadness that he left us so soon. I spent a lot of time with Bruce in our early 20s to 30s when we would be part of large camping groups. He liked to live rough and fast at times and appreciated a good time. He even tried to start up his own music festival called the Fried Onion Festival held out in Selkirk at Bruce`s Station. What a good time that was and we got to see how hard Bruce worked when he put his mind to something. He and Angel hosted the event and brought a lot of people to the site to see the bands and enjoy the food and fellowship. I am grateful that I got to know him when he was 17 and was blessed with this friendship until he left us. My condolences to all who miss him to this day. - Posted by: Deborah Lorteau (Friend) on: Mar 11, 2015
