COONEY Devoted husband, father, grandfather, inspirational teacher, prospector and geologist, aviator, search and rescue volunteer, gifted mechanic and friend to many, Robert John (Bob) Cooney, aged 78, passed away in Brandon, MB, on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. He is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Dorothy; their children, Robert (Bob), Allison and her husband Rob Smith; grandchildren, Erin and Brian, and numerous and loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Bob, or RJ as he was known to many, leaves behind a huge collection of friends, co-workers, students, people whose cars he fixed late at night, and an interesting life full of laughter, love and kindness. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 114 Ashgrove Blvd, in Brandon, MB. An interment will take place in Baldur, MB on Friday, October 13, time to be announced. In place of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
