STEPHEN GASHYNA Stephen Gashyna passed away, after a lengthy illness, on September 30, 2006 at the Concordia Hospital with his wife Dolly by his side. Stephen was predeceased by his parents and his first wife Mary (nee Sawinsky). He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Dolly; his brother Nick (Anne) of Grandview, MB; sisters, Margaret Boyko of Newtonville, ON, Jean Folk of Calgary, AB, Ellen Hnatiuk and Ollie (John) Drewniak of Edmonton, AB. Many nieces and nephews will also cherish his memory. Steve made friends very easily, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand, never refusing anyone. He was a loving husband and very kind to everyone he met. Steve enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and his many friends will remember him by his crafts. A sincere thank you is extended to Pastor John Friesen, Fr. Pierre Wood, Dr. Harris, the nursing staff at the Concordia Hospital, Pauline Ehr and all those who visited. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, if so desired donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
