Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN ROBERT LANG It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (Grandpa Apple), Norman Lang. He left us peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Seven Oaks Hospital. He was born on Aug. 13, 1925 in Morden, MB. Norman leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Mary; his children Susan Lang, Barbara Mymryk, Clare (Lloyd) Burdett, Jim, Louise (Ken) Koswin, Tom, and Greg (Eileen); grandchildren Craig (Melanie) Leonhardt, Julia (Jason) Curcio, Alan (Tammy) Mymryk, Laura (Steve) Mymryk, Tara (Scott) Gair, Chris and Jeff (Carolyn) Derksen, Kelly (Jason) Benoit, Brent and Luke Lang, and Kirstyn, Nathan, Keenan, and Jocelyn Koswin; and great-grandchildren Nolan, Brooklyn, Bradley, Austin, Zachery, Kaitlyn, Mason, Brycen. Norman is also survived by two brothers, William and Donald (June), and many extended family. He was pre-deceased by his parents Louis and Alexina, and his son-in-law Glen Mymryk. His greatest pride in life was his many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved them all dearly, and they brought great joy to his life and he to theirs. Norman was a Second World War veteran. Following his service, he worked for the CNR, and for Canada Post 35 years as a letter carrier. He brought a cheerful greeting to many people each day, and was warmly appreciated by those on his route. . Dad was a lover of literature, art, and classical music Prayers will be held Thursday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13 at St. Joseph's church, 355 Andrews St. (at Mountain Ave.). Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Craig, Alan, Chris, Brent, Luke, and Nathan. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Jeff and Keenan. The family wishes to thank Dr. Finlayson and staff from the 5th floor, Unit 6 in particular Dad's special friend Paul. We thank you all for making his last weeks comfortable.
