THERESE (TERRY) DROUIN (nee PAMBRUN) May 15, 1925 - October 8, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our most precious wife and mother, Thérèse, on Sunday, October 8, 2006. Dearly beloved wife of Ernest, the love of her life for 61 years. Adored by her five children: Marc (Barbara), Madeleine (John), Suzanne (Ken), Julie (Merv), Paul (Lori). Cherished Grandmere to Gerry (Erica), Nicole, Michael, Richard (Kathy), James (Amy), Katherine, Dayna, Amanda, Megan. Survived by her brother Richard Pambrun. A joyful soul who enjoyed life, Thérèse loved her family and raised her children with compassion and encouragement. Talented and resourceful, with a contagious laugh and quick wit, she was always ready to help where needed. Her sewing skills were boundless from our matching dresses as little girls to our wedding gowns and all the draperies and bedspreads in between. She loved to entertain - cooking, baking, and decorating, - she made it all seem effortless and she shared her recipes and knowledge graciously. Mom enjoyed traveling with Dad across Canada to visit family and friends, they travelled throughout Europe, the United States, and Mexico making new friends until her health made it impossible. Thérèse was lovingly cared for in her final years by her devoted husband, Ernest. We weep for the loss of her sweet smile, the joy in her sparkling eyes, and the tender touch of her lovely hands. Thérèse was an angel here on earth and now she's back in Heaven - joyful and at peace. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family members and friends. The family wishes to thank all those nurses and caregivers who were part of her life over the last 10 years. A special thanks to Concordia Hospital staff for their compassionate care. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald St. A funeral mass will be held at Saints Martyrs-Canadiens Church, 289 Dussault Ave. on Friday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in memory of Thérèse can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation.
