ESTHER SCHMIDT March 17, 1926 - October 9, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Esther Schmidt of Beausejour, MB, who, on October 9th, at the age of 80, left for her heavenly home after a brief stay at Concordia Hospital. Many thanks to everyone for their compassionate assistance in caring for Mom. Esther was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her precious memory will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by daughters Terryl Craigon and Jaci Schmidt; granddaughters Tracey and Tara Craigon; brother Albert Martin and sisters, Marge Wass (Winnipeg), Elsie Patzer (Beausejour), Doreen Burt, Martha May, Erna Palmer (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and all of their respective families. She was predeceased by husband William (Bill), brother Fred Martin, sister Emma Henschell, parents Saraphina (Zierk) and Henry Martin. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14, at 2:00 p.m. with viewing commencing at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Interment will follow at Beausejour Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Martin, Robin Henschell, Ray Henschell, Ivan Patzer, Jim Solomon and Jason Lehman.
