He was an independent small businessman who owned businesses such as the Club Catering, the Sky Diner and numerous company cafeterias, among them the cafeteria at CBC Winnipeg. When Dad decided to semi retire, he sold his business and went to work in River East School Division as a custodian at Neil Campbell School. His love of people and children made the time he spent there among the happiest of his working years. Harry was a wonderful Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa to us all and we always knew we could depend on him. He was a devoted and caring husband, and throughout our mother's prolonged illness with Alzheimer's disease, was never far from her side. If these walls could talk, they would speak of a man Who has worked with great heart to accomplish his plan. They'd speak of the times that he prayed in the night For the strength to go on, and to do what is right. They'd speak of sweet moments of laughter and fun The times with his children, his love for each one. Oh, if they could talk, it would be just the start Of a story of love, a great man and his heart. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Emile Parish, 556 Ste. Annes Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry's name to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
