Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL MARGARET JESSE (DOLLY) WATKINS (nee VINCENT) Mabel was born July 23, 1911 in Delta, MB. She passed away on October 7, 2006 at the Veteran's Memorial Building, Halifax, NS. She was a graduate of the Winnipeg General Hospital, nursed all over the world including five years overseas in the Second World War where she met and married an injured soldier Horace, the love of her life and they spent 45 wonderful years together. Mom resided in Victoria until 2000 when she moved to Shortt's Lake. Margaret is survived by daughter (Pamela) Jane McDonald, Brookfield; grandchildren, Justine, Flin Flon, MB and Nathan, his wife Amanda and two great-grandchildren Jude and Roan, Salisbury, NB; brothers-in-law Reg and Robert in B.C; nieces Joan Sutcliffe, Chilliwack, BC and Betty (Russell) Chapman, Virden, MB; nieces and nephews, Lorraine, Garnet, David and Eileen, Australia; nieces Linda, Loanna, Maureen and Betty and nephews Gary, Garnet, Albert, Derek, Don and Dick out West, plus family and friends from coast to coast. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Katheleen in 1966 and Dora, 2004 and Horace in 1991. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Co-operative, Upper Musquodoboit. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Stewiacke, on Tuesday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. She will be buried beside Horace in God's Acre Veterans Cemetery in Esquimalt, BC at a later date. Heartfelt thanks go to Dr. S. Singh, Truro, Dr. Grant and all the staff who looked after the gracious lady at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Halifax.
