Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEWART JAMES LINKLATER January 30, 1937 - October 10, 2006 Stewart passed away peacefully at his home in Selkirk, MB on Tuesday, October 10, 2006. He was predeceased by his loving wife Adele in December of 1986. He is survived by his stepson Brad Hercina; step-daughter Tracy Tetrault (Peter) and their children, Joel, Tyra and Jesse. He will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers Calvin Thorsteinson and Peter Thorsteinson (Rhonda) and their children, Lori-Gean (Tristen and Alexis), Tamara (Camilla) and Thomas. Stewart was born in Clandeboye and lived in Selkirk, MB all of his years. He worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills retiring in 1988. He was a kind and considerate person known for his contagious sense of humour. He enjoyed spending time with many friends and family and taking his daily walks. Stewart was a longtime member of the Selkirk Legion Branch #42 and enjoyed playing pool and cards. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethel Chapel, 200 Main St., Selkirk, MB with Pastor Andrew Porterfield officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
