Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLIOTT LYNN ROADHOUSE Born April 30, 1913 at Lorlie, Saskatchewan. Pre-deceased by his father Robert, mother Olivia, and grandson Tristan Roadhouse. Lovingly remembered by wife, Juliette - love of his life and best friend, and his family. Survived by sons, Bob (Sue) Johnson, Peter (Carol) Johnson, and Trevor (Audrey) Roadhouse; grandchildren, Amanda and Tim Johnson, Tanis Roadhouse (Chris Eltervoog), Taylor Roadhouse; and sister Lillian Whiteside. Lynn was raised on a farm near Sceptre, Saskatchewan homesteaded by his parents and grandparents. His formative years were centered on church activities where he took a leadership role with youth groups. It was through these activities that he acquired his love of camping and nature. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War and, following the conflict, settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba and resumed his career with the Grain Insurance and Guarantee where he served loyally for more than forty years. He was a devoted hobbyist, acquiring and demonstrating exceptional skills as a photographer, gardener, carpenter and general Mr. Fix-It , model train enthusiast, calligrapher, and naturalist. His great joy was camping and exploring the wonderful world of plants and birds with Juliette. His gentle manner, warm humour, and dignity will be remembered and missed. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses at the Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. A private graveside service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn's name may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, CE501-840 Sherbrook St.,Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1.
