Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTIAL NICOLAS JOSEPH FOUASSE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our 87 year old father, Martial Fouasse surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Centre Taché . Dad was born on February 13th, 1919 in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, MB. He was predeceased by his first wife, our mother, Odette (née Préjet) in 1987. He leaves to mourn his second wife, Rachel, and his four daughters, Annette (Raymond Remillard), Priscille (Jack Fehr) of Morden, Nicole (Aurel Pantel) of Somerset and Suzanne (Fernand Vermette) as well as Rachel's children and their families. PAPA leaves his grandchildren and (great-grandchildren) Darcelle and Sean Mullan (Rayanne and Randy); Stéfan and Sheilagh Remillard (Megan and Erin) of Brandon; Réjean Remillard and special friend Lorraine; Michelle Fehr (Taya and Duncan), Corey and Heather Fehr of B.C., Ryan and special friend Brenda of Morden; Chantal and Kent McQueen and Janelle Pantel. He is survived by his brothers Robert (Thérèse), Pierre, and sisters Béatrice Chanel and Sr. Ange Fouasse, in-laws Yolande Péreux, Sidonie Préjet, Monique (Max) Armstrong, Lorraine Préjet, Alban Préjet and numerous nieces and nephews. His 27 year career with the City of Winnipeg, most of those years as a mechanic, along with his knack for carpentry made him an indispensable handyman which benefited all his children. His devotion to his family and desire to help others was second to none, often forgetting in the last few years that life had taken his ability but not his will to offer a helping hand. Our fond memories will always include the cottage in St Malo, hunting, Hockey Night in Canada, cribbage, Bonanza, family dinners, eating toasted homemade bread, and cereal with whipping cream. We can still picture him in his favourite black chair religiously reading his newspaper from front to back to front again. The family extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to all caregivers of 4ABC at Centre Taché, with special mention going to Vincent, Anne and Jackie for going beyond the call of duty; and their compassion for Dad. We wish to thank Alice who gently guided Dad through his final hours all the while comforting us. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 at the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 avenue de la Cathedrale with Fr. Isa e Blanchette, celebrant. Cremation has taken place and private interment will follow at a later date in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
