DRAGA (CAROL) SEDAK Peacefully after a brief illness, the Lord took our Baba to rest on October 15, 2006. Draga was born in Veliki Komor, Croatia on February 17, 1924. She immigrated to Canada in 1961. Draga was employed at Kelsey Sportswear until her retirement. She is predeceased by her husband Rudolf Sedak and leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Donna and Angela; son-in-law Franjo Bogovic; granddaughters, Caroline and Elizabeth (Nick); and great-grandchildren, Ian, Matthew and Brooke. In Croatia, she is survived by half-sisters Anka, Danica and numerous nieces and nephews. Our Baba had a zest for life. She always put her foot forward and nothing seemed to ever stop her from accomplishing anything. Baba loved all her children and especially her great-grandchildren who brought smiles to her face, even to her last days. In our last moments with Baba, we reminisced of all the good things she brought to our lives: Ian and Matthew are going to miss her home baked buns and cookies, Brooke will miss Baba singing Doris Day's Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera) and You Are My Sunshine. We will miss Baba planting her flowers and doing her gardening at the cottage. We will miss not having another potato sack race with her - we never saw Baba laugh so hard; how much joy that brought to her to see all her family together and have fun at the cottage. We are grateful for having celebrated many family occasions with her and the lunches and dinners together at her home. Most of all, we will all miss her warm Baba hugs and kisses. Special thanks to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, U5, and to all our friends for their support during Draga's brief illness. In lieu of flowers, donations in Draga's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Prayers will be held in the chapel of the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Nicholas Tavelich Croatian Catholic Church, 2688 Main St. on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. Norman J. Chartrand officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Christ the Redeemer, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Our Mom, Our Grandma, Our Baba - Take our hugs and kisses with you as you rest peacefully and remember how we always will love you. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN ST. 338-7111
