Our beloved, caring and loving wife, mother, baba, sister, auntie and friend was born Polly Paraska (Pearl) on Septemer 15, 1922 on her family farm. As a young girl she loved family gatherings, garden flowers, baking and dancing. She left the family farm for a life in Winnipeg, MB and married Walter June 23, 1951. They were blessed with three children, Wayne (1954), Louise (1955) and Robert (1960). Pearl was a devoted mother and wife, excellent cook and hostess and an avid gardener. She moved with her family to Dauphin, MB in 1963 and returned to Winnipeg where she has resided since 1971. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., with Fr. E. Hafichuk officiating. Interment will take place approximately 1:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Cemetery, RM of St. Andrews, west of Winnipeg Beach. In lieu of flowers, Mother (Pearl) would suggest a family dinner with your loved ones in her memory, given family came first with her. The family are greatly appreciative of all the care and compassionate concern expressed to them and their wife/mother during her final days on 7W at St. Boniface Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Yaffe and the devoted staff members. A special thank you to Beata and Marie, Mother and Father's primary home care providers. A day is done, A life full has won, A soul's peace is found, A body returns to the ground. Our memories rich and full, Our hearts loved so dear, Our mother's life no longer here.
