Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET SEMRICK Peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Foyer d'Youville in Gravelbourg, SK, Margaret Semrick of Gravelbourg, SK, formerly of Regency House, Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 85 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Julie Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Margaret was born on April 15, 1921 daughter of Thomas and Mary Ferguson at Portage la Prairie. Predeceased by her first husband Merlin Bailey in 1944. She married Harry in 1946. She was a home maker until the early 1960s when she went to work for McLeods then Hills West Drug Store. As a Rebecca she went through all the offices. Margaret was on the United Church Ladies Auxiliary and the Legion Auxiliary. She loved Square Dancing which she Harry did for years and they both loved it. She was in the Ladies Sewing Circle weekly for years and was an avid gardener. Margaret was an accomplished knitter, crocheted and a superb seamstress. All her children own cherished articles she made for them, like crocheted table cloths, bed spreads and doilies. She was a wonderful cook, baker and some of her specialties were maple cream fudge, bread and buns. Predeceased by her first and second husband, Merlin and Harry; one brother Jack Ferguson; she leaves to mourn her passing one son Terry (Leatha) of Calgary, AB; two daughters, Memory (Bill) Rennie of Winnipeg and Eva (Wayne) Dombowsky of Limerick, SK; six grandchildren, Derek (Julie), Jason and Trevor (Kim) Sczesny, Becky (Ian) Runolfson and Mike (Jen) Rennie and Melissa Semrick (Dan); and two great-grandchildren, Logan Runolfson and Olivia Sczesny. Also surviving are two sisters, Jessie (Bill) and Isabel (Clifford) all of Portage. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday evening, October 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Margaret's name to the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg Research Foundation Inc., CE 501 - 840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1.
