SARAH SINCLAIR It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Sarah Sinclair (nee: Deaffie) of Fisher River Cree Nation, on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:55 p.m. at the Health Sciences Centre. With her family by her side, Sarah Sinclair went home to that beautiful place called Heaven, eternal home of God's children. Sarah leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Joe (Tomato); and her children, Harlene, Morton (Kelly), Jimmy, Leon (Shirley), Claudine (Clarence), Corwin (Michelle), and Marcie; her special friends, Sharon (John Mann), and Wilson McKay (Ellen); also her special son-in-law Johnny Cool; 20 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn McLaren of Hamilton, Ontario, Mary Stagg of Dauphin River, and Isabel Crate (Mike) of Fisher River; brothers, Russell and Clarence Deaffie of Dauphin River; her sister and brothers-in-law, Arnold and Edith, Willie, Pearl, Ralph and Iris, Sharon and Fred, Keith and Emily, Audrey, Lloyd and Sandy, and Carrie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sarah was predeceased by her loving parents, Solomon and Carrie Deaffie; in-laws, Harry and Alice Sinclair; brothers, Hector and Ben Deaffie, Joe Desjarlias; sister, Sarah Jane Marsden; sister-in-law, Sarah Deaffie; brother-in-law, Daniel Stagg; daughter, Corrine Lynne (Toni); and nephew, Jamie Crate. Mom was born on February 16, 1936 and was raised in Dauphin River, Manitoba. Mom and Dad met at the Arlington Cafe and married on August 21, 1958 in Fisher River. Together they raised their family in Dauphin River and Fisher River. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Ochekwi Sipi Personal Care Home, GD4 Staff, and the Ashern Dialysis Unit whom she thought the world of. Wake service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. at the Steven's Memorial United Church, Fisher River, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. John Halcrow officiating. Interment to follow at the Fisher River Community Cemetery.
