JOHN MYSLICHUK It is with sadness that we announce the death of John Myslichuk on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the Health Science Centre. John was predeased by his parents William and Helen Myslichuk, brother Steve of Ponoka, AB. and sister-in-law Ann. Left to mourn his passing are, his loving wife Edna; daughter Janis of Winnipeg, son Brian, daughter-in-law Sandi and 5 grandchildren of Regina; brother Russell and wife Maryanne of Calgary and sister Ann Zamonsky and husband Walter of Lloydminster. John was born in Roblin, MB on April 16, 1934. He grew up on a farm in Shortdale, MB. He began his working career as an industrial painter with North Star Oil out of Regina, SK, which took him to many small towns throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. When North Star Oil was bought out by the Shell Oil Co., John moved to Winnipeg and began working with North Star Decorating in St. Boniface, where his painting career extended to residential and commercial. On July 13, 1970, John moved on to work with Manitoba Government Services, spending years at Red River Community College, concluding his career with a few years downtown at 444 York St.. He retired on April 5, 1996. The family extends special thanks to the Health Science Centre's Emergency Staff, G-H4 and the paramedics for all their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation Inc., MS1 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1R9; or to the St Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, D1003 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6.
