CLARIS GARAND (nee HUPPE) Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Tache Centre, Claris Garand passed away at the age of 96 years. Claris will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Rene; children Irene Nolin, Don Thurston (Irene), Ron (Lea) Thurston, Howard (Diane) Thurston, Wally (Barb) Thurston, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 4 sisters and their families. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
