SUSAN LAVICH (GROSS) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Susan Lavich on Monday, October 16, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Susan fought a long battle with breast cancer in the only way she knew with great courage and dignity. Susan set an example for us all in how she faced life's challenges. We will remember Susan for her compassion and kindness for others. Susan Belle Lavich (nee Gross) was born in Westbourne on November 10, 1952. Left to mourn is her loving husband Bob, son Michael (Jocelyne), daughter Jennifer (Blair), brothers John (Betty), and Bob (Anne). She also leaves to mourn grandchildren Bret, Victoria, and Julia Grace, niece Angela (Kris), nephew Michael (Ingrid) and numerous family members and friends. Susan was predeceased by her parents, Kate and Jim Gross, as well as her nephew Tim Gross, who always held a very special part in her heart. Some of her passions were making baby quilts, golfing, entertaining her family and friends, gardening, and especially her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint).
