GUEN RENNIE June 18, 1906 - October 17, 2006 Peacefully, on October 17, 2006 Guen passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of a 100. Guen was predeceased by her husband Jim; sisters Isabel Jones and Kathleen Jones; daughter-in-law Joy Rennie. She will be lovingly remembered by her son David of Victoria Beach and daughter Jane of California. Guen will also be missed by her grandchildren Jim (Chrys) Rennie, Michael Rennie, Valerie Davis and Jennifer Evans and her seven great-grandchildren. Guen was born in Wiggin, England in 1906 and immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1911. She was an avid golfer and curler and won many tournaments. She enjoyed bridge, and the many friends she met while playing. Guen loved summers at the cottage with her family. She was quick to volunteer whenever her services were needed. Guen lived at the Wellington for 13 years; she enjoyed the fellowship and activities they offered. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception will follow. The family would like to thank the many home care workers and the staff at the Wellington for their wonderful care shown to Guen.
