LETA WHITE (RAMSEY) 1916 2006 Passed away peacefully at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg on Saturday, October 7, 2006 Leta White, age 90 years. Leta was born at Lauder, Manitoba on April 18, 1916. She took her early schooling at Napinka, Manitoba. Leta lived in Winnipeg a great deal of her life and after retiring from the Canadian Grain Commission in 1975, Leta moved to Gladstone with her brother Jack and her son Don. She later returned to Winnipeg with her son Don in 1990 after Jack's death. Leta was a well loved mother, aunt, and friend. Her humour, poetry and frank view of the world provided a basis for many delightful conversations. Predeceased by her husband Jack White, son Don White, her parents, Hugh and Carrie Ramsey, brothers, Don, Les, and Gordon, and her only sister Doris Henry. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be placed at the foot of Jack's grave in the Gladstone Cemetery.
