VERNON MERLE JOHNSON Merle passed away on October 17, 2006 at the Heritage Lodge, with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving children; Barb (Chris) Mailey, Darren (Andrea), Brian (Kathy) and Susan (Allan) Nelson; grandchildren; Taija-Reigh, Evan, Crystal, Tiffany, Storm, Blaise, Jazmine, Wayne (Vanessa), Joseph (Naomi), Tyson, Danielle, Eric (Sara), Joe and Carolynne and his many great-grandchildren. Merle was a proud man who fought to stay with his family for as long as was possible. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff and all of his friends at Heritage Lodge who made his stay comfortable and enjoyable. The family invites you to come and join them for a celebration of his life Monday, October 23, 2006, 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Remembrances may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 in Merle's memory.
