AVRIL MORISSETTE (nee WARREN) October 20, 1953 - October 12, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Avril Morissette on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the age of 52 years. Avril will be remembered by her beloved husband of 23 years, Hector; her children, Scott (Dana), Randy, Kyla and Lisa; as well as her granddaughter Kaitlyn; her Mum and Dad, Lena and Tud Warren; her sister Roma (Dallas), brother Gordon; as well as her special niece Rhonda. She will also be sadly missed by her brother-in-laws, Larry (Carole), Albert, Benny (Darlene), Marcel (Anne), and Edmond (Julie); sister-in-laws, Lucille (Raymond) and Monique (Norman); mother-in-law Alma; and numerous extended family and friends. Avril also had a very special relationship with her Aunt Pearl and Ann in Scotland and her Aunt Jessie of Calgary. She was predeceased by her father-in-law Oscar; and sister-in-law Estelle. Born October 20, 1953, Avril was raised, married and lived her whole life in St. James. Her first priority was her family, often putting their needs before her own. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time together whenever she could. Avril enjoyed many activities including scrap-booking, family camping trips, and spoiling her much-loved pets. The family would like to express their gratitude to CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care and Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. A private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Avril's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
