WILLIAM CEDRIC MORRISH Bill was born October 17, 1919 in Big River, SK where he and his family lived until they moved to The Pas in 1921. After receiving his education in The Pas, he spent a number of years working in the Yukon and Winnipeg. Bill was married to Denise H. Guyot in St. Boniface on June 6, 1952. Together they spent 16 years in The Pas where their children David and Margot were born and where he worked for the Department of Municipal Affairs. After many enjoyable years of cultural and community life in The Pas, they relocated to St. Boniface in 1968. Bill had a lifelong appreciation of the North, loved to paint, draw, travel and read books. Bill was predeceased by his devoted wife Denise in 1994 after her struggle with cancer. Bill was also predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Eleanor, sisters, May Jackson, Edith Johnson, Alberta Wilson and brothers, Charles and Clarence. Bill passed away peacefully on his 87th birthday, October 17, 2006 in Winnipeg. He leaves to mourn his son David (Marlene MacCallum) from Corner Brook NL; his daughter Margot (Khosrow Hakimzadeh) of Winnipeg and grandchildren Ian in Edmonton; Aaron in Vancouver; Andrena in Corner Brook and Tara in Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held at his cherished Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 256 Smith St. in Winnipeg at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church. A family interment ceremony will be held October 23 at Green Acres Memorial Gardens where Bill will be laid to rest next to Denise. All freezes again Among the pines, winds whispering A prayer.
