Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS MICHAEL DALY It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Michael Daly, with his family by his side, October 19, 2006 at the Luther Home, after a long battle with dementia. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Hulda; son Tom (Michelle); daughters, Dinah (Wayne), Linda (Morley), Karen (Danny), Sandra (Ken), Janet (Gary), Brenda (Alfred), Heather (Gary), Shelley (Matthew), Sharon (Billy); 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother and father, two brothers and one sister and is survived by six brothers, one sister and numerous relatives and friends. Tom was born in Winnipeg on September 8, 1931, married Hulda August 1951 and together they raised their 10 children. Tom was an honest, dedicated, hard-working man with a gentle, generous soul, always there to lend a helping hand. His warm humour and loving smile will always be remembered. Tom enjoyed his time with his family and friends, especially at the family cottage at Grand Marais. We would like to thank the staff, nurses and orderlies at the Luther Home, who, in caring for one of our most precious family members, have come to be an addition to our family. Honorary pallbearers are his 22 grandchildren. In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held Monday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m., St. Thomas' Anglican Church, 1567 William Ave. W. If family and friends so desire, a charitable donation may be made in Tom's name to a charity of their choice.

A loving man who was the only person I ever thought of as a real father. He and "mom" treated me as one of their own,as they did with many of their own children's friends. That meant doing chores if you wanted to stay to supper or if you wanted Mr.D.to teach you to dance! I think of them often and isn't it ironic that he went to the Lord on exactly the same day as my brother Walter. At least they can make the final journey together. My prayers are with all the family who are suffering this great loss. - Posted by: Heather Zirk (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2006
