IRENE DEHOD Irene Dehod passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre on October 19, 2006 at the age of 80 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Jim; daughter Janice White (John); and grand-children, Elsbeth, Leighton; and sister Helen. She was predeceased by son Bruce Colin; parents, Stephen and Catherine; sister Elsie; and brother Edward. Irene was born in Winnipeg, graduated from St. Johns High School, following which she lived in Hamilton, Toronto and Red Lake, ON. Irene and Jim were married in 1950 and made their first home at 817 Lanark Street. In 1974, they took up residence at 112 Lake Park Drive. Irene enjoyed the company of many friends, family and was always ready to assist in the hour of need. She was a member of the River Heights bowling league and enjoyed bridge sessions with the River Heights and Shrine Ladies groups. Irene and family also enjoyed their summer home at Echo Bay in Lake of the Woods and in more recent years wintering in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. In the summer of 2003 Irene suffered a stroke and was institutionalized from that period. The family wishes to thank Dr. McConnell, the nurses and staff of Riverview Health Centre CD4 for their professional and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. The family plans a memorial donation to honor her life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
