ARTHUR SEREDUIK Peacefully on October 20, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer, Arthur Sereduik, aged 78, went Home to God. Dad was born on August 26, 1928 in Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Bobbie; his parents John and Jessie Serediuk; his brother Nicholas, and his sister Joyce Maryk. Left to mourn his passing and to honour his life are his son John Sereduik and wife Jacqueline; his daughter Sandra Lussier, husband Ken and granddaughter Kayleen Lussier. Also left to mourn his passing, his niece Darlene McKay and husband Brad, nephew Kevin Maryk, great-nieces Ariel, Erica, and Abby, great-nephews Cody and Dominic. After growing up in Elmwood, Dad pursued a career in accounting, eventually becoming comptroller for Bay Bronze Industries. It was at this time that he began going for Wednesday lunches at Luigi's with his friends from work. This tradition continued for 26 years up until his passing. Before and after his retirement in 1990, Dad enjoyed the Downs, the casino, and travel, which took him to places such as Texas, Florida, the Caribbean, and Las Vegas. Even at home, he always knew the temperature in Vegas . The family would like to send special thanks to the nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital Emergency Department, Observation Unit, and the 4th floor staff who took wonderful care of Dad in his final days. Funeral services will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road on Tuesday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. God bless you Dad, until we meet again.
