GLADYS MAY HALL August 12, 1922 October 21, 2006 After a short illness, surrounded by her family who loved her so much, Gladys took her final journey to be with her beloved husband Dave. Gladys is survived by her sons Bill, (Andrea) and Ken, (Joanne) and her four grandchildren Jamie, Houston, Samantha and Ivy. She is also survived by her sister and friend, Marge Myshkowsky, brothers and sisters in law, Cliff and Ruth, Norm and Joyce, John, Muriel and many nieces and nephews. Gladys also leaves some very special friends whose company she has enjoyed over the years, Betty Benoit, Wally and June Lang, Nina Horvathova and the Bowyer family. Mom was pre-deceased by her husband Dave, June 24, 1992, her very special nephew, Wayne Myshkowsky on August 8, 1987, her parents Harry and Emily Reid and her brother in law John Myshkowsky. Mom enjoyed many travels with Dad over the years and especially enjoyed their cottage at Wallace Lake. She was always at Dad's side whether it was building a new house or the cottage. Mom loved to knit, especially baby outfits and Afghans in the later years. She was a wonderful baker and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and butter tarts. Mom loved to come out to Sanford as she really enjoyed spending time with our friends and they enjoyed her company back. Mom loved a good laugh and Bill and Andrea want to thank Wally for getting his friend Grace to laugh when no one else could. You always put such a big smile on her face Big Daddy and we love you for it. We would like to express our sincere and deepest thanks to Dr. Tomy for the kind and gentle way you looked after our mother and grandmother. You were always very matter of fact and honest with her and she really appreciated it. We also wish to thank all the staff on the 5th floor of Victoria Hospital for the excellent and loving care our mother and grandmother received. She always said you were all the absolute best at what you do. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 26, Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway at 1:00 pm with Rev. Cathy Maxwell officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Victoria General Hospital Foundation.
