PAT SCOTT With great sadness, the family of Pat Scott, announces her passing on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Pat was a resident at Westhaven Retirement Residence from December 1998 to September 2006. Pat is survived by her son Bruce Scott of Winnipeg; daughter Kathy and Scott McDonald of Sherwood Park, AB and Roberta Roach of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Trevor, Erin and Kimberly McDonald and Danny and Patty Roach; her brother Ewen Pearn of Virden, MB and sister-in-law Grace Pearn of Virden, MB; sisters-in-law Marion and and Margaret Scott of Brandon and Helen Scott of Ottawa, ON; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Pat was predeceased by her husband George Scott; brothers, Roy, Walter, Erie and John Pearn, sisters-in-law, Edna Pearn, Mildred Scott and Ethel Hendry. Pat was born in Virden, MB April 17, 1911 on the Pearn family farm in the Blair District and resided in Virden and Oak Lake most of her life. She graduated from nurses training (Kenora, ON) in 1937 and for many years worked in her beloved chosen profession, retiring from Virden Hospital in 1973. Her enthusiasm for living, a giving and caring life, always interested in today and commitment to building community where she was, will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The funeral (celebration of her life) will be held at Oak Lake United Church, Oak Lake, MB at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 with Rev. Eleanor Geib officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lake Cemetery. The family wish to thank the staff on 2 East of Deer Lodge Centre for their loving care of their mother for these part four months.
