MARIA DYCK (VOGT)

MARIA DYCK (nee VOGT) Peacefully on Oct. 21, 2006 at the age of 78 with family by her side Maria passed away. Maria was born on Nov. 25, 1927 in Ostervich Ukraine. She was predeceased by her parents Heinrich and Maria (Epp) Vogt; two sisters Helen Quiring and Hilda Bergen; son Peter Dyck; husband Kornelius Dyck; and her grandson Corporal Paul Davis. She leaves to celebrate her life her son Hans and Nell Dyck; her daughters Maria and Peter Ewert, Helene and Bill Cockriell, Linda and Ken Barnett, Ingrid McIlvenna, Karin and Greg Zakaluk; her 13 grandchildren with their spouses and her 16 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, two brothers and their families. The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Donwood Manor and Concordia Hospital. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Cory Cockriell, Shane Zakaluk, Patty McIlvenna, Mona Scott, Ryan Dyck and Ed Dyck. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25 at John Black Memorial United Church, 898 Henderson Hwy. Prayers and viewing will be held on Tuesday Oct. 24 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
