MACTAVISH 1930 - 2006 Mr. Albert Everett MacTavish, husband of Vera MacTavish, of Winnipeg Manitoba, and formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at the age of 76. Born in Cassilis, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Whitney) MacTavish. He was a 40 year retired employee of Co-Op Atlantic, employed in the Agricultural Department as Purchasing and Brokerage Manager. He was a member of St. Stephens United Church, Red Bank and a former member of St. Pauls United Church, Riverview. During their retirement years he and Vera enjoyed travelling throughout Canada, the United States, the British Isles (especially Scotland), Europe, Asia, and returning every year to the Miramichi to spend their summers. He is survived by his wife, the former Vera Cameron; one son Craig MacTavish and his wife Alacoe (MacKenzie), of Sudbury, ON; one brother Grover MacTavish and his wife Pansy, of Harvey, NB; two grandchildren, Everett and Deirdra MacTavish. He was predeceased by one sister Margaret Gray; two brothers, Harold and David MacTavish. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Tuesday, October 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors choice, would be appreciated by the family.
