VICTOR ROMANOW June 3, 1944 - October 21, 2006 It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and everyone's Uncle Vic . We take great comfort in knowing he took God's hand while surrounded by his family. Vic was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Lazor, and infant sister Linda. Left to mourn his passing are wife Lorraine; daughters, Carole (Henri), Janette (Jay), Krystal (Mark), Charleen (Sheldon); grandchildren, Breanne, Jadon, Jillian, André, Korbin, Hannah; and his brother Brian (Pat). He will fondly be remembered by numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Vic was born in Canora, SK on June 3, 1944. He moved to Dauphin and then Winnipeg as a youngster. He married Lorraine in 1967 and made St.Vital their home. It became the central gathering place for family and friends. Vic took great pride in serving as a police officer for 27 years. Following retirement, he then worked as an investigative security officer for Club Regent Casino. Vic was a great people person. He loved to entertain others with his music and stories. Vic particularly enjoyed golfing, coffee with friends, road trips and his horses. He always had open arms for anyone who needed them. He was never too shy to say I Love You and God Bless You . Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald Street, with Father Roland Lanoie presiding. Dad, thanks for always being there for us. We know you will continue being our Guardian Angel.
