OLGA RYBACHUK (SPAKOWSKI) Olga died peacefully at home on October 22, 2006, one week short of her 95th birthday. Olga was born on October 29, 1911 on a farm in Malonton. She was educated in Malonton and was one of the first train gang students to attend school in Teulon. After her high school graduation, she completed her practical nurse's training at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg and worked at the Teulon Hospital until getting married to Anthony Rybachuk (Tony) in 1938. She devoted her life to being a wife and mother. She belonged to the Teulon WI and served as President. She also helped at the baby clinic for many years. After Tony retired in 1975, they spent many years together travelling and fishing. After Tony passed away in 1998, Olga spent time in the community, enjoying the day away program and the local senior's socials. Survivors are her two sisters, Lena and Mabel and their families; one sister-in-law Carmie Rybachuk; two daughters, Sylvia (John) Baker and Lynda (Gerald) Woods; one grandson Dean Woods; granddaughters, Tanis (Dan) Gillis, Janelle (Adam) Braun, and Deanna Woods; and four great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment. A memorial service will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon of Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Olga's memory to the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon.
