Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIAN JOZEF (JOE) DOMANSKI It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Marian on October 18, 2006 at Fred Douglas Lodge. He was 95 years of age. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys and daughter-in-law Adena. Joe is survived by his only son Jim; grandchildren, Wendy Anderson, Dean (Cheryl) Anderson, Sheryl Reiss and Chris Anderson; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Mieczyseawa in Poland. Joe was born Drohobucz, Poland. He fought in the British / Polish Army during the Second World War. After the war, he was a barber in Scotland where he met his wife Gladys. In 1953, he immigrated to Canada and opened his own shop on Westminster Avenue, which he ran until his retirement. Joe and Gladys enjoyed their time at Dorothy Lake. They also enjoyed travelling throughout Europe and to Hawaii. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Fred Douglas Lodge. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 10:00 a.m. Interment and reception to follow. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Salvation Army, 55 Donald Street, Suite 500, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
