FLORENCE REICHERT (nee FRANZ) It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, on the morning of October 24, 2006. Although Mom has left us, we rejoice in knowing she's being reunited with her beloved husband Adam, mother Anne, father Charlie, sister Mary, son-in-law Robert Johnston and brother-in-law William Omuicke. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Bev Johnston, Lee Harris (Ron), Loren, Bruce (Susie), Gord (Tracy), Gregg (Michelle); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one on the way. She also leaves sisters, Elsie Omuicke, Norma Horban (Paul); brothers, Art Franz (Bernice), Jim Franz (Jean); sister-in-law Anne Luptak and numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a hard worker all of her life. She was a Tupperware manager for many years, earning the recognition as a top sales person across North America. Florence has always said her greatest achievement was her family. One of her favourite joys was her visits and telephone conversations with her youngest grandson Adam. (Gramma-WHAT!) She dearly loved her dog Sprocket. We would like to give special thanks to her aunts, Rose and Lena for their many visits and wonderful care while she was at Fred Douglas Lodge. We would also like to thank Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit for their excellent care over the years. Another special thanks to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for their compassion and care. Special thanks to Lori and Mary-Anne of whom Mother was especially fond. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, MB with Fr. Wayne Morrisey officiating. Viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow in St. Benedicts Cemetery, Camp Morton, MB. Pallbearers will be her sons, Loren, Bruce, Gord and Gregg, grandson Rob Johnston and son-in-law Ron Harris. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
