Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHELMINA BILYK It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest mother, Wilhelmina Bilyk (nee Gottfried) on October 25, 2006. Mom passed away peacefully, with her family present, at Misericordia Place. Mom was predeceased by her dear husband, Michael Bilyk in 1994. She leaves her cherished memory with her children, son James, daughter Irena; beloved son-in-law John; loving grandchildren, James Jr., Deanna, Michael, Jerry Jr. and Jessie. Mom was born in Hannover, Germany on July 21, 1916. She worked as a nursing assistant with the village doctor. Later, during the Second World War, Mom enjoyed a career as a cook for the Armed Forces. After the war, Mom immigrated to Canada with her toddler son, James, to join her husband. As a family, they established themselves in Winnipeg and developed strong roots. Mom will always be fondly remembered as a compassionate and loving soul and a true care giver to her family. Her family was always her priority and her home a comfort for all who entered it. Mom, our love for you is eternal and we find tranquility in knowing you are at home with our Heavenly Father. We will be together once again. The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to the most wonderful staff of Apple Tree Lane, Misericordia Place. Their compassion and excellent care towards Mom, reaffirms our belief that angels do exist. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30 at Misericordia Place, 44 Furby St. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
