ANTHONY ONHAISER After a lengthy illness Anthony (Tony) Onhaiser passed away suddenly on October 24, 2006, at the Betel Care Home, Selkirk, MB. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rosalia; his sisters, Frances, Mary, The Rev. Sister Anne, SNJM and brother Walter. He leaves to mourn his sister Rev. Sister Julia, SNJM and his brothers, Pat, Stanley and Micheal. Tony was born April 23, 1926 at Narol, MB. He attended Donald School, together with his brothers and sisters and many of his childhood friends. He belonged to the parish of Corpus Christi. He had a lifelong interest in farming. He particularly enjoyed tinkering with farm machinery and motorized vehicles. Tony was known for his determination to do his own thing. He had a marked tendency to avoid involving others in any of his troubles. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 31 at 10:30 a.m. in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Narol, MB with Fr. Jerry Talarski officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
