ELEANOR MARGARET HANSLIP (nee MAGNUSSON) July 22, 1935 October 28, 2006 Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, holding Todd's hand, Eleanor completed her journey home. Eleanor is survived by her only daughter Valerie Dokken; grandchildren Lana (Wayne) Lange, Angel (Rick) King, Michelle Lavoie and Billy Schweitz. Her pride and joy, her great grandchildren Todd, David and Crystal Lange, Joshua, Jessica and Ashley King; sisters Juno (Gar), Yvonne, Vivian (Lynn) and Lorraine; very special friend Terri and her baby Shasty as well as many nieces, nephews, in laws and friends that will also miss her. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Russ; parents Ed and Helga; brothers Tom and Carl and many other family members that welcomed her home and are holding her for us. Amma, as she was affectionately known to every child that met her had the biggest heart and the gentlest hands. Nothing was more important to her than family and she was always willing to give us anything we needed. If she didn't have it, she would find a way to get it for us. Eleanor was born July 22, 1935 to Ed and Helga (Arnfinnson) Magnusson in Lundar. She was the second of seven children. Even though she left Lundar years ago, Lundar was always home in her heart and her ashes will now be going back there. Thank you to Dr. Badenhorst and the home care workers for the wonderful care over the last few years. Words cannot express out thanks to the incredible nurses and health care aides at the Selkirk General Hospital. You are the best! A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lundar Lutheran Church. Interment of ashes will take place in the Lundar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Selkirk General Hospital. I'll love you forever I'll like you for always As long as I'm living My Amma you'll be. Goda Nott Mom Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
