JOHN JACQUES (JOHNNY) BIGOURDIN Peacefully on October 28, 2006, John Bigourdin passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 77 years. John is predeceased by his twin-brother Paul. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Louise Schmidt, children Diane (Blair), Glenn (Gerrie), Randy (Janis), Terry, Janice (Randy), Brent (Sandy), grandchildren Jason, Jaclyn, Kyle, Laura, Matthew, Chantelle, and Jennifer. His memory will also be cherished by his sister-in-law Faye, and numerous nieces and nephews and their children. John was employed for 37 years at CNR, in the B B department. Upon retirement, he enjoyed his many trips to Mexico and Hawaii where he fostered many new friendships. Dad was an avid cribbage player and looked forward to his Thursday afternoons with the Red River Seniors Card Club. Above all, dad was a dear and devoted family man and will be forever remembered. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at both St. Boniface General Hospital and Thorvaldson's Intermediate Care Facility. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Manitoba Cancer Care Foudation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room 0N1160, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 Good luck Dad and Uncle Paul, hope you have better luck fishing up there! This message of condolences is very late in coming, as I just learned of your Father's passing. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Janice, I remember him from being very young and coming to play after school with your Chihuahua & her puppies. Your Dad was always so kind and welcoming of your friends.
