Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR JOSEPH BRISSETTE Arthur, beloved husband of Jeanne, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Grace Hospital, with his family by his side. Arthur loved Jeanne, married over 60 years and children Diane (Jerry), Marcel (Edie), Rose (Bob), Robert (Barbara), Paula (Bryan) and Paul (Debbra). He will be dearly missed by their 11 grandchildren Lana, Michelle, Becky, Beau, Bonnie, Cheryl, Jason, Savannah, Farren, Julia and Marc, and 7 great grand children, and many nieces and nephews who were all an important part of Art's close knit family. Art also leaves to mourn his 2 sisters Dorothy (Bill) and Yvonne (Jack), predeceased by his parents Arthur and Alice Brissette of South Junction, Manitoba, by his brothers, George, Eddy (Margaret) and Fred (Cecil). Arthur was born in 1920, in South Junction, Manitoba and spent an idyllic childhood growing up across the street from his wife-to-be. Art served in the Fort Garry Horse, in WWII, stationed in Europe from 1939-1945. Upon his return, Art married his childhood sweetheart Jeanne Beaudry, moved to Winnipeg and became a plumber. He was a long-standing member of the Plumbers Local 254 when he retired. Art enjoyed 35 years at the family cottage at Grand Beach, golfing, going to baseball games, spending 25 years winter vacationing down South, playing cards with his many friends, but most of all he enjoyed his large family gatherings. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of the Grace Hospital, and Home Care personnel, and Canadian Veterans Association, who all cared and did so much for Dad. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, at Christ The King Church, 847 St Mary's Road. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Parish Hall. A private family interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Dad, the gift of love you gave us all will forever be in our hearts, and we will love and remember you always. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD 982-7550

A mischievous glint in his eyes, a smile that made me smile, a laugh that made me laugh and the occasional snack when it was to be had. That is the way I will remember ‘Dad’. A happy go lucky guy with a heart of gold that could always make me smile when he peered the top of the wall and said “Where’s Trouble”. A Dad to many and a friend to all. - Posted by: Sharon Remillard (Friend) on: Nov 01, 2006

My dad's tool box is a lot like him. Sturdy. Been through a lot. Made for hard work. Held more inside than you'd ever guess. Sometimes, he'd ask me to pass him a tool, and I'd know what he knew... how it felt to set things right, to make things better, to care. Over the years, my dad's toolbox has gotten heavy.. heavy with memories. Shiny. Timeworn. Each perfect in its way. Memories that a dad makes... of things set right, of a world where two hands and a good heart still make a difference. Thank you for being our and teaching us how to make a difference. - Posted by: Robert Brissette (Family) on: Oct 31, 2006
