WALLY EGER December 3, 1921 October 29, 2006 It is with deep felt sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing away of our dearly beloved mother, Wally Eger (Truderung) at 8:00 am, Sunday morning, October 29, 2006 in the Park Manor Personal Care Home. Mom always will be remembered lovingly by her son Axel (wife Diane), grandchildren Amanda, Karl (wife Naomi), Suzanne (husband Joseph) and great grandchildren Abigail, Victoria and Nathan (children of Karl and Naomi). Mom is also survived by her brothers Max (Erndl), Harry (wife Edith) and Lothar (wife Sandra). Mom had a very strong faith in God and accepted the Lord as her personal saviour at age 14. She always relied very deeply upon her Lord for strength throughout extremely turbulent times in her life. East Kildonan Baptist Church was her spiritual home as she faithfully attended Sunday sermons from 1957 until she was no longer able to attend due to her declining health. Mom's final year was spent in the Concordia Hospital and in Park Manor Personal Care Home. Our sincerest thanks go to the staff of both Concordia and Park Manor for making her life manageable, comfortable and peaceful. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay, You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, Come to Me . So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain, We could no wish you back, To suffer that again. You didn't deserve what you went through, So He took you home to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, For He only takes the best. We shall look forward to seeing you once again in Heaven Mom. Funeral Service by Pastor Paul Clerc will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the East Kildonan Baptist Church, 700 Watt Street with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. As Mom had a strong love for pets, particularly cats and dogs, donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Wpg., R2L 1X3.
